About NSPAR

NSPAR is the peer assessment program for Nova Scotia physicians.  It provides physicians with a confidential and detailed report on their performance in clinical practice, allowing for self-reflection and self-directed practice improvement.  The program’s methodology provides feedback from medical colleagues, co-workers and patients and an opportunity to compare the review results with aggregate scores (or norms) of other physicians in similar practices.

The NSPAR tools and methodologies have been extensively tested and validated with large physician populations in Alberta and Nova Scotia.  The unbiased and multi-sourced feedback gained through an NSPAR review is designed to be helpful to physicians in improving their medical practices and identifying more targeted CME/CPD opportunities.
